Collaborative Sound Bath Recording at Milestone Studios

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to record at Milestone Studios with the talented Nic Ornellas and Eera Sidorina. The experience was nothing short of amazing. We managed to bring all our instruments into the same room, creating a unique environment that was the perfect home for creativity and collaboration.

Creating Soundbaths

One of the highlights of our recording session was the ability to produce a whole range of different soundbaths. With various instruments present, we were able to experiment with layering sounds and textures, resulting in rich and immersive auditory experiences. The synergy between the musicians was palpable, as we explored the depths of each instrument's capabilities.

Learning About Different Instruments

Throughout the recording process, we all learnt about the intricacies of the different instruments we were working with. It was also a challenge to work out which groups of instruments worked well together. What made it even harder is that most of the instruments were in different tunings, we had 432Hz 440Hz and 443Hz too.

Collaboration with Nic Ornellas and Eera Sidorina

Working with Nic and Eera was a highlight of the experience for me. Their expertise and passion for music was infectious, I really appreciated their patience and creativity during the recording. We all encouraged each other to push our boundaries, explore new sounds, and embrace the unexpected.

Recording at Milestone Studios was not just about recording an album, it was about creating a collaborative space where learning and experimenting was abundant. We left with not only a collection of soundbaths but also a deeper appreciation for the diversity of instruments and the magic that happens when musicians come together. This experience has undoubtedly enriched our musical journey, and we look forward to applying what we learned in future projects.
